Many people are investing now in gold coins as a hedge against inflation and economic uncertainty, and also for the tax benefits of your gains being tax-deferred until the gold coin is sold. I am a gold coin investment coach. I am also a gold coin broker with American Precious Metals Group and here is a link to our website: https://american-pmg.com/

Why buy gold coins now?

Stubborn, ongoing inflation continues to erode the value of the U.S. dollar. Historically, gold maintains its intrinsic value during periods of political uncertainty. The time to buy gold is now if you have the available funds, and you are in a financially stable position, and you are looking for an investment that will store value long-term.

Will gold prices go up or down in 2026 and future years?

Gold experienced a historic bull run in 2025, surging over 65% from about $2,623 per ounce to peaks above $4,300 by year's end 2025. This momentum continued into January 2026, setting a record all-time high of $5,589. Following this record surge, prices experienced a mid-year 2026 cool-down, dipping below $4,000 in June 2026 before consolidating now in the $4,000 to $4,200 range. Major Wall Street institutions view the recent price dip as a healthy consolidation and anticipate gold will push toward $6,000 by the end of 2026. And according to several prominent commodity analysts and economists online, gold could reach $10,000 per ounce in the years after 2026.
